Heather Baker, owner and CEO of Sunny Daze, is a mother and wife, an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and an entrepreneur. She has an adult daughter, Sydney, who has autism and coffin siris syndrome, a genetic syndrome that cause intellectual delays. Heather has always been involved in the community to support the growth and development of all individuals with disabilities. Not only has Heather served as a Board Member and former President for the local Arc chapter, she also played a significant role in the development and implementation of a day programs that provide services to adults with disabilities and their families. She is also the co-founder of the Columbus Autism Network.

Heather is committed to developing a coaching model with her bartenders that provide the opportunity for employment to adults with disabilities within a safe and supportive environment. Our bartenders not only are learning about the service industry, they are also practicing their social skills and independence.

Sunny Daze is aptly named after Heather’s daughter, Sydney, who has always been nicknamed “Sydney Sunshine.” Our fleet of bars are all names Sydney picked also.
